Reception

AdministrationVolunteer in our cattery

Opportunities include office assistance, helping with mail-outs, folding brochures and assisting with developing the promotional pack for customers etc.

Animal Grooming

Volunteers provide the shelter animals with grooming so that they look and feel beautiful.

Animal Attendants

Volunteers can assist with the feeding and cleaning in the cattery, the kennels and the puppy facilities.

Conditions

All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age unless accompanied by an adult.  The volunteer needs to be healthy and fit enough to cope with the conditions of the position desired.  Information sessions are held regularly for new volunteers where Occupational Health & Safety and other operational issues are discussed.  You will have the opportunity to see the shelter which may help you decide the area you would like to be involved in.

Once selected and welcomed as part of the team, you will be provided with on-going support, information and training with opportunities to become involved in different projects and activities.

If you wish to help the shelter as an off-site volunteer, click here.
