Animal Aid has gone completely mad in a Feline Adoption Frenzy! Print E-mail

Leading animal welfare organisation, Animal Aid, is offering a 50% discount on the shelter fee of their cats over six months of age in the lead up to kitten season.

Animal Aid is calling out to all cat lovers to adopt from one of their three shelters in Coldstream, Bairnsdale and Sale during the last two weeks of November.

Each year when the kitten population explodes during the warmer months Animal Aid sees a decline in the number of people willing to adopt an adult, over six months, cat.

Animal Aid has tabby cats, ginger cats, grey cats, black cats, white cats and even multi-coloured cats, one to suit every family.

As the weather warms up and kitten season looms, there is a real need for Animal Aid to find homes for as many of their mature cats as possible.

Animal Aid General Manager, Nell Thompson is hoping that the reduction in shelter fee will encourage people to bring a shelter cat into their life.

"Sixty dollars isn't a lot to pay for a lifetime of love and devotion." she said.

"Considering you are getting a pet that is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and parasite free, it's incredible value. You would normally have to pay $300.00 for the veterinary work alone before you have factored in the price of purchasing the cat."

"Adopt a shelter cat from Animal Aid between November 14th and 28th and help to save a life."
