SPONSORSHIP

As it costs approximately $10.00 a day for food and veterinary costs for each animal taken in, the Animal Aid has substantial ongoing costs to cover to enable us to continue to care for unwanted and abused animals.  Our sponsorship scheme for a cat pen or kennel was established to help cover some of those costs. The program provides a great opportunity for families, community groups and companies to support the shelter.

To acknowledge sponsorship of a kennel or cat pen, a plaque can be attached to the front of the pen, displaying the sponsor’s company/family name (for the duration of the sponsorship). If you prefer to keep your generosity private we will not erect a plaque on the pen.

Your sponsorship of a dog kennel or a cat pen, will help Animal Aid continue its valuable work.

From 1 July 2006 all donations over AU$2 are tax deductable for Australian Taxpayers.

In any one year:

• It costs approximately $7,000 to operate a Dog Kennel or Cat Pen.

• It costs $90,000 to feed our cats and dogs.

• Over 2,000 cats and dogs find shelter at Animal Aid.

You could:

• Sponsor a Dog Kennel or Cat pen as an individual or family

• Share sponsorship of a Dog Kennel or Cat Pen. (we can arrange this)

• Give a sponsorship to a friend as a gift for a special occasion

• Ask your friends to contribute to your sponsorship instead of a present

• Organise a 'group' sponsorship with your work colleagues

• Encourage your children to organise a sponsorship as a school.

You receive:

• A Certificate of Appreciation.

• A plaque mounted on your kennel or pen recognising your sponsorship (full sponsorship).

• 10% discount on boarding at the Coldstream Boarding Kennel and Cattery.

• Membership of the Victorian Animal Aid scheme.

• And BEST of all a scratch on the TUMMY and the loudest PURRRR ever!

Sponsor funds of $800 per year (full pen sponsorship), $400 per year (half), or $200 per year (quarter) are put towards the costs of food and veterinary care for the animals that pass through that pen in the course of the year.

Plaque size, if required, is in accordance with level of Sponsorship.
